The Boston Tea Party Storyboard

The Boston Tea Party

The Boston Tea Party was a rebellious act by colonists against the British, stemming from a conflict between the British government allowing a British company the right to sell tea to the colonies. This was cutting out American merchants, who lost a lot of money.
It happened on December 16, 1773 in Boston, Massachusetts at Griffin’s Wharf.
Disguised as Native Americans, Adams and the Sons of Liberty dumped raided ships and tossed crates of tea overboard. There were notable people like Paul Revere and Samuel Cooper.
As a result, the Boston Tea Party created difficult relationships between Britain and the colonies.
The colony of Massachusetts was also punished under The Coercive Acts. Within a year, Americans formed the First Continental Congress.

Looking back in history, this notable event is widely considered to be the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
